🤯 YouTube FINALLY Changed the Monetization Requirements!!

– Okay, yo, some big news.
(upbeat music) YouTube just announced huge updates to the YouTube Partner Program
that lowers the requirement that smaller channels need
to start earning money. Rather than taking all day
to explain this to you, I'm going to take two minutes of your time to give you what you need to know. Right now on YouTube,
(upbeat music) there are currently 10 main
ways to monetize your videos. The most popular methods being things like AdSense, Channel
Memberships, and Super Chats. I think that all the monetization options that you have access to really fall under two main categories, brand-funded and fan-funded. What I'm about to share is
super important for you to know. Brand-funded refers
(upbeat music) to modes of monetization where
content creators earn revenue through brand
collaborations, sponsorships, paid promotions, and
advertising placements. Fan-funded refers to modes of monetization where creators earn revenue
directly from their audience, typically through methods like donations, memberships, and merch. Now, here's why it's important,
because starting today, as long as you have 500 subscribers and three public uploads
in the last 90 days, and either 3,000 watch
hours in the past year or 3 million shorts views
in the last 90 days, you can monetize your
content through fan-funding.

Fan-funding. This means that your viewers
can now send you Super Chats, become a paid member of your channel, buy merch directly from your
YouTube channel and more. This is great, like, that's
not a bad deal at all but this is where the catch is at, because you're not gonna get AdSense yet. To get ad revenue, you still have to meet the
same requirements as before. So in short, starting today,
(mellow music) literally right now, as long as you meet all these requirements that I'm throwing up on screen, you can monetize your
content through fan-funding. I know some people are a
little disappointed by this. Personally, I think creators
should always have access to fan-funding. It's your fans, is your community. They can choose to support
you with no barriers.

That's how I feel. That's my take. Let me know how you feel
about this in the comments For you as a small channel, I still think that this is
amazing because I think most of the community is probably
gonna support channels like yours with these kind of features. Plus, you can still continue some of the brand-funded monetization options, like partnerships and brand deals. But as far as earning ad revenue, you will have to wait
just a little bit longer.

Let me know what you think about these changes in the comments below, and let me know if we should make videos on how you can make more
money through fan-funding. Love you all. Keep creating Peace..
