In this video I'll tell you everything that you
need to know in order to get monetized on youtube. I'm gonna tell you the application process, the
requirements, and I'm gonna tell you how you're gonna actually get the money on your hand.
Not only this, but I'll also tell you some important things that other youtubers forgets
to mention while covering the exact topic. Without further wasting your time, let's start the
video with the requirements. And the requirements are: you need to be 18 years old or older. You
can still monetize your channel if you're under 18 which I'm gonna show you how later in this video,
just keep watching. You need to be a resident of a country where youtube partner program is
supported. I'll put the list of countries on the display right now you can pause the video and
see if your country is on the list. Your channel can't have any community guidelines strikes, you
need to have a thousand subscribers. And finally you need to have 4000 hours of watch time in the
last 365 days. So when it comes to watch time people are a bit confused about this.
So I want
to elaborate a bit more on this. First of all, let me explain what watch time, or watch hour
exactly is. For example, let's imagine that you have a video that is two hours long, and
somebody only watched that video for one hour, that means that you're gonna get one hour of watch
time on that video. Another important thing that I need to tell you is that not all Watch Hours
are valid.
And here are the types of videos where Watch Hour gained from them won't count towards
your monetization threshold. And they are private videos, unlisted videos, deleted videos, ad
campaigns, video played from stories and short videos shelf, live streams that are unlisted,
deleted, or not converted to video on demand, or, vod. And finally you need to make sure
that your google account that is associated with your YouTube channel has two-step
verification turned on. If you haven't done that yet I'll put a link in the description
box below you can click it and do it from there. You can check the progress of your monetization
threshold by going to studio.youtube.com and then by clicking on "monetization tab" on the left hand
side there you'll find an option that says "notify me when i'm eligible". If you click on that
youtube will notify you by an email once you reach the monetization threshold.
Once you get that email
you can finally start your application process. To start the application process the first thing
you need to do is go to youtube studio and then click on the monetization tab, unlike before where
you could see the progress of your monetization threshold, this page is now going to look like this,
from here the first thing you need to do is that you need to review the youtube partner program
terms and conditions and accept it. If you're under 18 your parents need to read and accept these
terms for you. It's important that you read it carefully so that you don't end up violating any
of the youtube terms and condition in the future. After that you need to create an adsense
account make sure that you create your adsense account with accurate information. You
can only create one, So make sure you don't mess anything up. Also for your adsense account there is
a verification process that you need to go through once your channel is monetized.
I'll tell you
more about that in later part of this video, just keep watching. For those who are under 18 you
need to use your parents adsense account, because you can't create an adsense account if you are
under 18. Once you're 18 you can create your own adsense account and then replace it with your own.
Once you're done connecting your adsense account with your youtube channel you're almost done with
the application process. Now all you have to do is wait. It can take up to 30 days to get reviewed by
youtube but usually it doesn't take that long. If everything goes well youtube is gonna send you an
email congratulating you with the fact that you've been accepted to the Youtube Partner Program after
that you can start monetizing your youtube videos with ads and few other ways. Now that your videos
are monetized on youtube you can finally start making money from your channel.
Your first goal
should be to make at least 10 dollars on youtube once you make that amount of money youtube is
going to send that money on your adsense account on the 7th to the 12th month of the day. Once you
have 10 dollars or more on your adsense account. Adsense is going to physically send you a mail
at your address that you provided while signing up with adsense. That mail is going to contain an
OTP and you need to put it on your adsense account. Instructions on how to do that are going to be
given on that mail.
Once you do that you're all good to go. Now that you're monetized on youtube
and you're making money the question is how and when are you gonna get paid. Well before you can
get paid you need to make sure of these four things, make sure the address of your ads account
is verified. Which i've just told you how it's done. Two, you need to provide your tax info on
adsense.
Three, make sure that you have added a payment method to your adsense account. So that
they can pay you. Four you need to meet the payment threshold of adsense which is hundred dollars. It
may vary slightly depending on your currency. Once you have that amount of money on your adsense
account now you can finally withdraw your money. You can either receive your payments through check,
eft, rapida, western union, or wire transfer, but it may differ depending on your location. Once
you have added your preferred payment method adsense will issue a payment between the 21st and
the 26th of the month. Depending on the country that you are living in you will receive that
money within few days.
Just to clarify a bit more for example; if you make hundred and ten dollars
on youtube on january, you're most probably going to get paid by adsense by the end of february.
And that's how you get monetized on youtube and get paid. I know that you still have a lot of
questions and if you have any you can leave them .
